Charlotte has to downscale
It has been a month full of turmoil. I found out that I can no longer rent the paddock that I have used for the last 18 years. I am having to downscale into my garden and need to put every corner to good use. For most of my chickens nothing will change because, although the gate into the paddock will be taken away and the fence re-erected, my hens will just fly over. We will also make easier access into my friendly neighbour’s garden so the hens will still have plenty of space. I have already had one big bonfire but will need to have another to get rid of surplus wood, hutches and runs. I have quite a few chicks which I will have to find homes for and will not be able to keep on rescuing hens!
