To narrate the shop’s story for their 10th anniversary, MOs Design taps Electrolychee—a duo with a decade of its own worth celebrating.
“Puso!” graphic artist Bru Sim-Nada gleefully says, forming a heart with her hands, when asked how Electrolychee, the design studio she runs with her husband Marcus Nada, evolved since it began ten years ago. What began as a platonic creative venture is now an established partnership and admired marriage in the graphic design scene.
Most clients book Electrolychee because they already like the studio’s style, so there isn’t any debate over aesthetics. Nevertheless, the memorandum of agreement remains of paramount importance to all their undertakings. Electrolychee’s contract is still a workin-progress as lessons from projects prompt the duo to finetune the template. “You have to think about the business part of being an artist. Young ones always say ‘I just want to do art.’ But you cannot dismiss that it’s work,” shares Nada.
