American metal, built in Mexico and driven in Britain.

The Rat Run

This is the General, a 1931 Ford Model A rat rod, designed by Sam Hard of The Hard Up Garage in the UK and made by Street Toys in Juarez, Mexico. The thinking behind the design is that it would be what Cooter Davenport from the Dukes of Hazzard would drive, and the detail on this is incredible. The chassis is a bespoke ‘31 Model A, the roof is the Confederate flag that also has a vinyl top, there is a tequila bottle for an overflow, the front lights are custom made and the rear lights are from a 1959 Cadillac. The body is steel and custom made for this build. Oh, and it can also shoot flames from the exhaust. The interior has two leather seats, the dash with a steering wheel, two gauges, and the huge gear lever. That’s about it. The two gauges are for oil pressure and coolant temperature; the fuel gauge is a clear pipe on the bottom right.
