Steve Ridges LS powered T Bucket

Steve Ridge’s mother, Beverley always supported her son in all of his interests and would have loved this T bucket appropriately named “Revy Bevy”. In earlier times Steve was into go-karts and bikes so there has always been a leaning toward performance vehicles in his interests. All up the T bucket project consumed 18 months and was completed in April 2019.

Starting with a Designed Chassis kit, Steve added an alloy HSV LS2 six-liter V8 engine block and heads, so the T bucket enjoys the bright performance. Steve carried out all of the engine mechanical work himself. In the process, he fitted flat-top fly cut pistons with Enginetech rings, ACL race bearings, and a Mellings high volume oil pump that is housed in an LS1 sump from a VY Commodore. A hydraulic cam with 227-233 duration, .584“ lift, and 113° lobe separation tickles roller lifters and Comp Cam pushrods and is driven by a double row timing chain. Ported LS heads are topped with a 102 Fast intake manifold fed by fuel injection and fired by individual coils controlled by an LS1 computer. Custom made four into one header feed into four-inch truck stacks have been reconfigured as side exhausts with mufflers hidden inside, the radiator was custom made and is assisted by high flow electric fans. There’s even a fresh-air induction system built into the top of the T grille shell that feeds directly into the intake plenum.
