In conversation with Pawan Munjal, Managing Director, Hero MotoCorp, on the sidelines of the EICMA 2016 in Milan.
Bike India (BI): Thank you for having us over. Do tell us about Hero MotoCorp’s participation in EICMA this year.
Pawan Munjal (PM): We’ve come to Milan a couple of times. This year, however, we don’t have many ‘new products’ to show, but we thought we should not give the motor show a miss from the continuity point of view. The fact that Hero is now going global and is becoming an international brand, it’s very important to have our presence in this kind of event, where you have the entire world watching.
You know that in the background we are doing a lot of work, together with the Centre of Innovation and Technology [CIT is Hero’s new Rs 850-crore state-of-the-art R&D venture in Jaipur] we are developing a lot of new products in our existing segments and also expanding our range in various new segments. We have showcased some here, to show the direction where we are heading.
