THE APACHE 200 4V WAS released last year and has since become an instant hit with enthusiastic motorcyclists across India. The motorcycle was introduced to the racetrack at the beginning of the 2016 racing season, with slightly upgraded engine internals, better breathing and a free-flow exhaust, all of which have increased top-end power and allow this bike to rev much higher than the street version. The 2016 season finale of the TVS One Make Championship saw Novice Class and Open Class riders riding these bikes to the limit, hoping for championship glory.
Novice Class
RACE ONE Bengaluru’s Yashas R L, who has been leading the championship standings all year, rode another perfect race to finish first and add 25 more points to his name. Behind him, Hari Prasath and Yuvaraj S, both from Chennai, had an intense battle going on for second as they traded places throughout the race. At the line it was Hari who stole the spot, while Yuvaraj had no choice but to be satisfied with the third spot on the podium.
RACE TWO
In the second Novice Class race, Yashas once again stamped his authority on the segment by setting the fastest lap of the race (2:11.655), and going on to cross the line first. He was closely followed to the finish by Chennai’s Peddu Sri Harsha and Bengaluru’s Aditya Immaneni in second and third place respectively.
