It’s finally here—time to crown our 2022 Four Wheeler Pickup Truck of the Year. Following closely on the heels of our 2022 Four Wheeler SUV of the Year test, the program that you will see on the following pages is the culmination of hundreds of hours of hard work and several months of planning and preparing. The days spent testing are long. We are up before the sun rises and we work until nightfall, and beyond.
Our 2022 judging panel was comprised of some of the most knowledgeable minds in the off-road industry, with backgrounds in off-road, diesel, lifted, new, and classic off-road vehicles. This year, in celebration of our 60th anniversary, we’ve also brought back some familiar faces from Four Wheeler’s history, which gave our panel more than 100 years of combined time on staff. This ensured that our judging staff was just as diverse as the trucks that we were testing. We all eat, sleep, and breathe pickups and off-road.
This year’s event brought us back closer to a sense of normalcy after a dark 18 months in the throes of a global pandemic. While we were able to bring back more staffing and test in more exotic locations, we remained ever-vigilant, with frequent vehicle sanitation and physical distancing while also adhering to state, local, and CDC health and safety guidance. Testing was completed in early November 2021, prior to the latest COVID wave and the resulting new round of travel and event restrictions.

JEEP OR BLAZER BUILDING
I was hoping to pick your brain as to a couple of different builds. I have a '19 Jeep Wrangler JL and a '74 Chevy Blazer. I'm a little baffled as to what to focus on. The '74 full convertible Blazer is my dream vehicle. She's been a long build and now I am thinking of focusing my energy on my wife's '19 Jeep JL. I recently joined a Jeep club and have been going off-road with a few guys. I'm shopping around for lift kits. Would you suggest that my time be spent and focused on the Blazer or enjoy the Jeep? I really can't do both.
