From the small bikes to the factory missiles, the Isle of Man 2018 was outstanding. Hickman sent records tumbling with 135.452mph in a THRILLING Senior TT duel with Harrison. One of the best races EVER!
With the likes of Bruce Anstey and John McGuinness out of action through illness and injury – and Ian Hutchinson too frail from his leg damage to even get close to being competitive – it looked as if this year could be a damp squib across the two weeks.
How wrong that prediction turned out to be.
Right from the start of the Senior race it was Dean Harrison who went fastest, quickly opening up a lead on the timesheets of 1.22 over Peter Hickman with Michael Dunlop 1.031s behind in third and James Hillier a further 2.596s off the leading trio.
Dunlop’s early form was short-lived however when an issue with something on the bike caused him to lose a massive six seconds between Glen Helen and Ballaugh.
