Power Performance Lubricants is a privately owned South African company that has been in business since 2016 and is owned by Johan van der Linde and Mario Vingos. It all started off when Johan was looking for a high-performance lubricant for the Millennium 7 project cars they build. After months of research they selected Royal Purple and immediately started testing.
The results were way beyond expectations and it was soon realised that Royal Purple was they only way forward. Johan knew what they had found in Royal Purple and approached Mario to discuss a way to make this leading brand of high-performance lubricants readily available to consumers and motorsport fanatics alike. Soon they found themselves at the Royal Purple factory located in Porter Texas in the USA. There they spent time with Chris Barker (Manager Technical Services) to receive technical training in advanced lubrication and product selection for the automotive industry.
Power Performance Lubricants is based in the East Rand, just off Atlas Road and located within Great North Industrial Park. This is close to OR Thambo International airport and ideally located as a business hub for future expansion.
What makes Power Performance Lubricants special are the people and their passion. Always willing to listen, assess and recommend a solution best suitable for the application. When you have a chat to Johan or Mario you get a feeling that you are part of the Royal Purple family and not just another customer or potential sale.
When Mario was asked – why should we buy from you and not from your competitors he simply answered, “Royal Purple is a specialty lubricants company, we don’t have to comply with API chemistry restrictions on our high-performance products.
