Held at the Circuit de Spa, Francorchamps, Le Bug Show is always at the top of my VW calendar to attend.
Le Bug show is in its 24th year and is still going strong thanks to the hard work of the Belgium Buggy and VW organisation, it attracts an amazing line up of classic air cooled VWs. The show offers hot showers and attended toilets kept clean throughout, well directed camping areas and a very clean safe environment to visit and party at. And of course you get the chance to take part on the Race Track Parade! The show is on the first weekend of August, race circuit allowing, and as in previous years looked like it would be hot on and off the track. People arrive early to obtain the best camping space available but this year the tarmac and small grass area by the approach tunnel and been deemed out of bounds by the Circuit, not a problem as it meant more relaxed chill camping time amongst the trees of the surrounding camping fields. The main Marquee is open for Business on the Friday evening but does not get going until around 10pm but don’t worry as the party goes on until 3am.

Lance & Lisa Beaver tell the story of their...‘Old School' Westfalia Bay
The history of our bus is varied. I heard that it used to belong to a soccer player who lived in it for a while, and a tale of a cross country trip that was taken in it. Since we’ve owned it, we have been to numerous car shows with our car club Kahiko Kula and enjoy that immensely, but taking it camping is our joy.
Messing About in Boats

We’d wanted a splitscreen bus for years. And first got the bug, after hiring one for a holiday in Cornwall in 2009.
