July 20, 2018, heralded the entry of a promising actor in B town who seemed visibly nuanced with her acting chops and regaled the audiences with her refreshingly innocent looks.
Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film ‘Dhadak’, directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar was a launchpad every aspiring actor would dream of. A remake of the cult Marathi film ‘Sairat’, the strong performances of debut actors, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter rendered blockbuster success to the film. While the film grossed over a whooping 109 crores the audiences were left fawning over the talented actress. Having lost her mother, Kapoor had a challenging time but nevertheless she emerged stronger and wiser.
The Birth Of Another Kapoor
Born to the iconic actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor was born and brought up in a trueblue film family. Ironically, her mother never wanted Kapoor to be an actress as she considered her to be too naive and sensitive for this industry. She wanted her to lead a settled and relaxed life. Initially, Janhvi Kapoor tried her hand in fashion designing only to realise her true calling. Eventually, she took up acting, diction and dance classes to enhance her craft. The loving parents acknowledged and supported her dreams, guiding her through thick and thin. She committed herself completely to her passion. The young gun may clearly be the latest example of what Kangana Ranaut terms nepotism, making her debut in a Karan Johar production buttresses the point. But going by her recent performance and future projects, it won’t be wrong to say that the actress has everything that one requires to be on top of the game. Not only did she research well for her debut role but she also mingled with people from Rajasthan to become conversant with the local dialect.
