How does Dassault Aviation view the market prospects for business jets in India in the coming years?
India is an important market for Dassault Aviation. We see good prospects for existing models and our newest product, the Falcon 6X. The 6X is a game-changing jet offering more space and cabin comfort in the long-range class, with traditional Falcon efficiency and high performance. Passengers will notice a real difference in space and comfort versus other offerings in this segment. We expect Indian business jet operators will have strong interest in the 6X as it enters service later this year.
Falcon sales in the Indian region have not met expectations in recent years, what steps need to be taken to unlock the potential of the business jet market in India?
Sales rebounded in the US and Europe beginning in 2021 and we are now seeing an emerging market in Southeast Asia, trends that give us optimism for India, as well. The Indian market has not been dormant. We recently delivered a Falcon 8X to a customer in Delhi and are about to deliver a 2000LXS there. These deliveries do get noticed in the Indian operator community and they are putting wind in our sales. The 2000-series, with its large cabin and range up to 4,000 nm, represents a perfect combination of attributes for regional operators. It's the most popular business jet for charter in India. Close to 20 are in the market.
What are the regional prospects for the new Falcon 6X and Falcon 10X ultra widebody business aircraft?
