How do you measure a successful marketing campaign? One could set a baseline and note a tangible increase in sales or market penetration. However, it’s not usually that simple, and success can remain obscured. Recently, I had an experience that might assist in understanding this better.
One Friday, our cat Archie went missing. We looked everywhere, but sadly, no one had seen him since Thursday afternoon. By Saturday, our children were distraught, and I was trying to keep it together. My wife was in the USA for a family function and I had been in hospital on a drip with the worst bug I had ever experienced. Keeping it together, while normally not a challenge, was not simple at all.
