KAJOL’S heart is where the home is. SUMAN SHARMA comes awaycharmed by the supermom and the superstar

Article Reader

It’s been 25 years since Kajol made her debut with Bekhudi in 1992. Since then she’s only grown in talent, stature and box office might… setting a high benchmark for both her peers and posterity. This year, she’s celebrating her silver jubilee in showbiz, much like superstar Shah Rukh Khan with whom she forms an iconic, unforgettable pair. The two seem destined to play out the graph of love through the curve of age. Right from Baazigar (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), My Name Is Khan (2010) to Dilwale (2015)… whenever there’s an SRK-Kajol film round the corner… it gets the media and the fans buzzing.

Mention must also be made of significant films like Pyaar To Houna Hi Tha (1998) with Ajay Devgn, the thriller Gupt (1997) where she played a grey character, Dushman (1998) where she had a double role, Fanaa (2006) where she played a blind girl in love with Aamir Khan… “OMG, I have completed 25 years!” she exclaims adding, “It’s been a beautiful journey. I’ve enjoyed my work tremendously.” She adds that filial bliss adds to her sense of fulfillment. “I’ve completed 18 years of marriage. I’m mother to two kids – Nysa and Yug. I’ve attained my goals. I’m happy with my personal and professional life. I’m grateful to God for the blessings,” she smiles.
