Katherine Ryan presents a new dating show where romance might blossom for one girl, if only she can weed out the deceitful guys

Comedian Katherine Ryan, 38, is about to hit our screens presenting a dating show with a big difference.

One girl, Sophia, dates 12 guys and chooses her favourite – so far, so ordinary.

But with half of the guys already spoken for and their real-life girlfriends guiding them through dates, it’s up to Sophia to spot who’s after winning the cash prize rather than her heart.

Hi, Katherine! This new series sounds rather harsh with the girl knowing half of the men are liars…

I think in the beginning when you hear the headline – one incredible girl, 12 hot guys, some are single and some are not – you do think that there’s an element of mean-spirited trickery. I did receive messages on social media about it but if you really look at the format, Sophia takes on this challenge, knowing that some boys will be lying to her and some boys will be genuine.

So, she’s going into it with her eyes open, then?
