When it comes to Emily Atack, what you see on screen is definitely what you get off-screen as well. So when we catch up, we know no question will be off-limits.
We’re speaking days after the 30-year-old was linked to tattooed model Charlie Edwards, but down-to-earth Emily, who split from film producer Rob Jowers last September, insists she’s simply enjoying the single life.
“I’m enjoying being single and dating,” she tells us. “There are lots of lovely men out there. There are also lots of arseholes, but there are very nice men and I’m just hanging out with them now.”
And it’s not just her dating life that’s putting a smile on her face – her career is also taking off to new heights. After coming second on 2018’s I’m A Celebrity, Emily has barely been off our screens and this year alone has landed two new jobs – one as Celebrity Juice’s new team captain alongside Laura Whitmore and the other with her very own comedy and sketch series, The Emily Atack Show.
Here, we chat with the star about the single life, the secret to her recent weight loss, and why she can never look her parents in the eye again…
Hi Emily! So set the record straight for us – are you currently single?
I’ve been single for a year now. I’ve always been in relationships before that, so because this is the first time I’ve been single for this long, I’ve crammed a lot in, so to speak. [Laughs] God, my choice of words!
What have you learnt about yourself in that time?
