It’s not every day you get to chat with a Hollywood hunk, so you can forgive us for fangirling a bit when we interview Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa.
Jason, 41, started his acting career back in 1999, when he played Jason Ioane on Baywatch, and he landed the part of Khal Drogo in the hugely popular Game Of Thrones 12 years later. But it was playing the superhero of the seas that made him a bona fide star of the big screen.
While we’d love to say it’s his acting ability that we’re huge fans of, we’d be lying if we didn’t admit his good looks and chiselled torso aren’t also part of the attraction. So we’re more than just a little bit jealous of his wife, actress Lisa Bonet, 52, who Jason married in October 2017 after 12 years together.
They’re parents to Lola, 13, and NakoaWolf, 11, and Jason is also stepfather to actress Zoë Kravitz, 31, Lisa’s daughter from her first marriage to musician Lenny.
Here, Jason tells us how he likes to keep romance off social media, what his kids think of his stardom and why he’s a huge fan of Barbra Streisand.
Take it away, Jason…
Hi Jason! How do you like to unwind after a long day of filming action scenes?
It’s not like we could do it every day, but a lot of Aquaman was filmed on the Gold Coast and we went bar-hopping over there. It’s not like New York or LA, where you have to get dressed up – people just go out in shorts and flip-flops, drink beer and listen to live music.
How do you feel about being a heartthrob?
