Ashton Tells ‘Demi Kept The Kids From Me'

THE ACTOR OPENS UP ABOUT HIS ‘PAINFUL’ RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS EX DEMI MOORE

He may have split from ex-wife Demi Moore more than six years ago, but Ashton Kutcher is still hurting over the fact that he is not allowed to see his former stepchildren.

The 39-year-old was on The Howard Stern Show on June 21, when he spoke about his relationship with his ex-wife. ‘The first time I became a dad, I was 25 years old, and Demi had her three daughters, and Tallulah was I think eight, and Rumer was 13, the oldest, and Scout was like nine,’ he says of Demi’s three kids with actor Bruce Willis.

‘I love those kids like my own kids, and I helped raise them until Tallulah was 18, when [Demi and I] got divorced.’ And while Ashton reveals he now speaks to Rumer ‘all the time’, and to Tallulah ‘sometimes’, he sadly confesses he only texts ‘a little bit’ with 25-year-old Scout. ‘[But] I don’t see them,’ he laments.

It’s a lot more contact than the actor was granted in the months directly following the 2011 split, when he had no contact with his stepkids. ‘For a while it was sort of like, “don’t go there” and I [had] to respect all the wishes of everyone – the collective – and so it’s tough.’
