Princess Beatrice could have landed any of the world’s most eligible bachelors, but instead she chose a not-so-eligible gentleman – and the family of his jilted ex is speaking out! The 30-year-old princess recently went public with her boyfriend of several months, 35-year-old real estate millionaire and son of a count, Edoardo ‘Edo’ Mapelli Mozzi. But while the new coupling likely thrilled Beatrice’s parents, Prince Andrew and Duchess Sarah Ferguson – who were long-time friends of Edo’s late stepfather, political operative Christopher Shale – not everyone is thrilled about the romance.

A source can reveal Edo broke up with his fiancée, Harvard-educated architect Dara Huang (with whom he shares two-year-old-son Wolfie), to date the princess, and effectively devastated Dara’s family in the process. ‘It’s not fair, but the royal family is so powerful,’ says Po-Tien, Dara’s father – a Taiwan-born ex-NASA scientist. ‘Why would they want to go and break-up [my daughter’s family]?
