We all watched Hilary Duff grow up in front of the cameras on the hit Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire. Just 14 when the sitcom debuted in 2001, she won hearts as a klutzy, headstrong adolescent.

These days, the former teen idol is finding new fans as an up-and-coming millennial on the comedy-drama Younger. But it’s off camera where Hilary has really blossomed – as a mum and now a bride-to-be!

On May 8, Hilary revealed that Matthew Koma, her long-time beau and father of her daughter Banks, seven months, had popped the question. ‘He asked me to be his wife,’ she wrote alongside a heart emoji and sweet Instagram snap of herself smiling with a stunning rock. ‘He kind of surprised me, and I was like, “Yes! Of course!”’ says Hilary, 31. ‘“You’re my favourite person in the whole entire world outside of my kids”… He knows he comes third!’

The couple has had an on-off relationship since they started dating in late 2017, but when they got back together for the third time, Hilary reveals, that was the charm. ‘It’s like a no-brainer getting married,’ she tells. ‘We feel happier and more in love than ever.’
