He’s been attacked by an alligator on Blue Peter and tackled the paso doble on Strictly Come Dancing, but Gethin Jones says nothing compares to battling it out in the Celebrity Master Chef kitchen. “I cannot believe how nervous I was,” says the presenter. “I was laughing to myself and thinking, ‘Why am I shaking so much about chopping a spud?’”
The 42-year-old is taking on the likes of Jeff Brazier and Lady Leshurr in the competition, but when he’s not trying to cook up a storm in the kitchen, the Welshman can be found being a roving reporter on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two.
Here, Gethin opens up about his anxiety on Master Chef, dating during the lockdown and Strictly without an audience…

I don’t. I know I’m going to be back, which is brilliant. I know they’re working flat out to make the show a success in whatever guise it’s going to be this year. I’m very excited to see who’s going to be on it and how it’s going to work. I chat to the pros and I’ve been doing a workout with Oti Mabuse every Friday!
