Actor Jeremy Edwards and his wife Lydia have longed to give their three-year-old daughter Scarlett a sibling. So the couple are bursting with excitement on OK!’s exclusive shoot where they reveal they’re expecting again.
“We’re delighted,” smiles Jeremy, 49, who recently returned to Hollyoaks as bad boy Kurt Benson.
But the journey to get to this point hasn’t been easy for the couple, who tied the knot in 2009. After conceiving their daughter, Scarlett, through IVF, Jeremy and Lydia turned to the treatment again after trying for a second child for two and a half years.
“We’re incredibly excited but the main feeling has been relief,” says Jeremy. Lydia, 36, who is due to give birth in March, adds, “It’s been very stressful.”
Here, Jeremy and Lydia, who live with Scarlett and their Boston terrier puppy, Minnie, near Winchester in Hampshire, exclusively open up to OK! about their “hard” journey with IVF…
Congratulations on your wonderful news. How are you both feeling?
Jeremy: We’re incredibly excited, but the main feeling has been relief. Scarlett was conceived through IVF and so was this baby. We feel very blessed, as the process is actually really tough on Lyds.
