Over 10 months on from his admission to hospital with coronavirus, Kate Garraway has revealed that her husband Derek is still “ravaged” by the virus.
The TV host heartbreakingly revealed that she has to be careful of not “running away with hope” about Derek’s recovery as the prognosis is “incredibly uncertain”.
Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, Kate opened up about how “unbearable” Christmas was without Derek, 53, by her side.
“It’s been a strange time. I’ve been a bit low since Christmas, physically low. I feel like I was physically at the end of my tether and I sort of had to regroup a bit,” she shared.
