While ‘in sickness and in health’ is a vow we take during marriage, many times one doesn’t anticipate one’s partner getting sick. That wasn’t the case for Nicci and Craig Marcus, yet she took his hand anyway. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. Craig had just celebrated his 28th birthday when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The diagnosis came by chance. He suffered a cycling accident and fell off his bike. After not feeling well a few days later, Craig consulted his family doctor, who picked up that there was something else wrong with him.
