Jennifer Lopez was scrolling through social media Jan. 28 when the news hit: During the reunion special for season 7 of Bravo’s Southern Charm, a castmate accused salon owner Madison LeCroy of sleeping with an unnamed MLB star. And the mystery man was none other than Jennifer’s fiancé, Alex Rodriguez. “He contacted me, and yes, we DMed,” Madison admitted while denying any physical contact with the former Yankee. The singer flew off the handle. “When she heard about Madison, she lost it,” says a source. “She was screaming at Alex.”
Publicly, Jennifer and A-Rod are maintaining a united front, but sources tell Star all hell is breaking loose behind the scenes. “It’s humiliating for Jennifer to hear these rumors about Alex and Madison,” says a second insider. Worse, it’s not the first time the 51-year-old has been faced with cheating claims about the former slugger. “Here we go again!” says the first source. “These new reports are a slap in the face—the ultimate betrayal.” Now, four years after their first date and nearly two years after A-Rod, 45, proposed, J.Lo is desperate to get to the bottom of what really happened. “Was it really innocent?
It almost doesn’t matter,” says the source. “How much more can she take?”
