When someone comes to Turf-loop, they’re looking for love, money or revenge – and in some cases, all three. It’s no different for former Turfloop resident Bafedile (played by musician Candy Mokwena, 2020 album Still Here) as she returns to her hometown. Although it’s the first time viewers hear the name Bafedile, it soon becomes clear that she has a huge past in town with ties to important people. Why is she back now? “Money,” Candy answers simply.
When we meet Bafedile, a few Turf residents are less than thrilled to see her face. And while we’ve been sworn to secrecy as to who exactly Bafedile’s target is, we can assure you it will be an unforgettable reunion. Bafedile has had a daunting life, having endured abuse for most of it. An abusive relationship is what sent her running to Polokwane over a decade ago, leaving her young son behind. And her son’s identity is going to leave you with your jaws on the ground! Now however, Candy says that her character is ready to do what she should’ve done all those years ago – be a present mother.
Why is Bafedile back?
