Nkunzi tries to get his estranged wives MaMlambo and MaNgcobo under one roof after murdering his rivals.

When it comes to being bad, KwaMashu gangster Nkunzi (Masoja Msiza) is the best. Not only is he a hijacking kingpin, he thinks nothing of beating enemies – and worse: killing them. “There was a moment of satisfaction recently when he tortured and killed a pair of rivals, two brothers who got in his way,” explains the actor. Earlier this year, Nkunzi was under attack and saw his empire snatched from under his feet. “These men took his gang, they kicked him out of his mansion, they destroyed the Mhlongo clan to avenge their father Khathaza (Sibonile Ngubane), who was killed by his lover MaNgcobo (Dawn Thandeka King) – Nkunzi’s wife – in January this year. The attack left Nkunzi with no option but to strike back. With that problem solved, he is focussed on the next two: his wives. “He wants to regain his status. It starts with reconciling with his estranged wife MaMlambo (Gugu Gumede). Then it’s MaNgcobo – and she is going to put up a fight,” laughs the actor.
