IN JULY OF 2016, MORE THAN 23,000 lovely ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. rained pink and green all over Atlanta. From several days before their inspiring 67th Boule or international conference was called into session to its rousing end, the women took part in numerous community service projects throughout the metropolis. Annually, more than 283,000 collegiate and alumni members give over 1.5 million service hours in 42 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Germany, Liberia, South Korea, Japan, Canada, South Africa and the Middle East. upscale talked to Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, International President, about volunteerism and service.
