Ellie Gonsalves: Filthy Rich & Homeless ‘IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME'

Ellie Gonsalves boasts more than 1.3 million Instagram followers, a modelling career that takes her around the globe and a strong support network, which includes her long time love, Ross Scutts. But Gonsalves will be stripped of her fame and fortune when she appears with four other high-profile Aussies – Arron Wood, Dr Andrew Rochford, Ciaran Lyons and Pauline Nguyen – on Season 3 of Filthy, Rich & Homeless (premieres, Tue., June 9, 8.30 pm on SBS).

“A lot of people will come for Ellie Gonsalves being eaten alive by cockroaches in her bed, but I think a lot of people will stay for the amazing message this show sends,” the 29-year-old tells WHO.

Unaware of the homeless crisis in Australia because of her privileged upbringing, Gonsalves explains that after spending 10 days living on Sydney’s streets, she realised she could very easily have been a statistic herself.
