FEARS for the QUEEN

JUBILEE MARRED

It was supposed to be a year of celebration for the Queen whose Platinum Jubilee marks 70 years on the throne. Coincidentally, Elizabeth called 1992 (her 40th year on the throne) her “annus horribilis” due to family scandals.

BAD BLOOD

While Harry and Meghan will have pledged their support for the Queen as she battles COVID19, it’s clear they won’t respect one of her wishes in regards to honouring Camilla. “I don’t think we will see them bowing or curtsying or referring to her in regal terms,” a source told Heat magazine.

This year was meant to be the time when Queen Elizabeth II basked in her moment of glory after spending a historic 70 years on Britain’s throne. But instead of celebrating her life of service, a statement released by Buckingham Palace this week revealed that the 95-year-old monarch is battling COVID-19 amidst a serious outbreak at Windsor Castle.

Elizabeth tested positive just days after the news broke that her son Prince Charles, 73, had also caught the virus for a second time (his wife Camilla also tested positive). It was also revealed that two days before his diagnosis was made public, on February 10, the heir to the throne had met his mother at Windsor Castle, where she’s been residing since the pandemic began.
