Accel World VS Sword Art Online Review

Accel World VS Sword Art Online Review

First off, let’s talk about this title’s story as that is arguably the biggest part of any video game. This was tricky for me with this game, as I have not watched any of the anime associated with the game. There are no major cutscenes, and this is good if you are a die hard fan of the series but if however you are like me, a newcomer to the franchise, then you will have no idea who the characters are and what series they are from. Here is the basic concept that I gathered from my time. You play as Asuma, Kirito and Yui. Who are in a online MMO called Alfheim Online and the main antagonist is trying to destroy it.

The story was interesting enough that it made me want to watch the whole of Sword Art Online season one. The main downside that I found to the story was that the whole game’s audio was in Japanese. There are English subtitles but I couldn’t get drawn into the story when I had to read subtitles. This is a personal problem and maybe some people don’t mind subtitles but this was a minor issue for me. The story is enjoyable although it was hard getting into without knowing any of the characters or their backgrounds I still found myself enjoying what’s here.

From the Top: God of War (2018)

Just under a year ago, I started my own little Heraclean task of playing through the whole of the God of War series — at least the ones I could get my hands on— all to prepare myself for the soft reboot of the series, God of War (2018).

So I Tried... Papa's Freezeria Deluxe

Dylan played a game - Each edition of So I Tried… I will try a game that I have never played before. Will I find something new to love? Will I find something new to despise? I'll take a full half hour to see if this is the game for me, no matter how bad it gets or how badly I do, to see if this is the game for me. This time I decided to go and play Papa’s Freezeria Deluxe. I admit this was an impulse buy because I saw a few streamers playing it, and I decided to give it a go.

Astrea: Six Sided Oracles

Astrea: Six Sided Oracles is a deck-building roguelike with noticeable inspiration from Slay The Spire. Despite this inspiration, however, it manages to hold its own incredibly well, even going so far as potentially being one of my favourite deck-builders of all time.
