This canine crew from Belgium pride themselves on making good shit every single day.

Dogstudio

Founded in 2006 in Namur, Belgium, Dogstudio (dogstudio.co) has grown from an informal group of four to a team of 35 people crafting digital experiences the Belgian way. Priding themselves on making good shit every single day, Dogstudio has accumulated an impressive roster of clients as well as winning plenty of awards, and runs its own annual festival. The studio has recently gone international, too. We spoke to studio co-founder Henry Daubrez (AKA Border) to discover some of their canine secrets.

How and why did Dogstudio come together as a pack?

Dogstudio was founded 11 years ago by two brothers and two childhood friends. The initial goal was just to join different skills, work on cool graphic design stuff and do it with people we liked to work and have fun with.

Back in the day, it was mainly a matter of doing a lot of branding and printed stuff; web design still being super marginal at the time. When thinking about it, it’s actually funny to see how much this trend changed over the years to the point of a complete flip over and us becoming a digital-first agency.

What kind of projects do you have on the go at the moment?

We’re currently starting a project for Here Be Dragons in New York. Those crazy guys are probably the current best virtual reality production company with their super impressive knack for storytelling.

They deliver breathtaking experiences for the likes of the Ghost In The Shell movie, the Mr. Robot TV show and The New York Times to name but a few. Those guys are always a step ahead and we’re super excited to collaborate with them.

Back in Belgium, we’re starting to work on a virtual reality game for a huge burger brand and we’re also starting on some strategy and product design for a big mobility company.
