What a year it has been. I wouldn’t be the only one saying that 2016, for you has been a huge peak... so tell me, how has the climb been?
Climb? Absolutely effortless, and amazing! To be honest I’ve been soaring like a bird since the time I gathered the courage to make the career switch 10 years back. Depending on the wind I might fly high or low but it will be flying nevertheless. Having said that Dhoni striking a chord with the audience, getting selected for Oscars definitely feels like a climb!!!
Have you had to acclimatize to the altitude you have reached? What all has gone into the acclimatization...
There is a quote which I absolutely like since my school days. It’s from Richard Bach’s Jonathan Livingstone – It reads, ‘For most gulls, it was not flying that mattered but eating. For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered but the flight. More than anything else, Jonathan Livingston Seagull loved to fly!’ Money, fame, success, failure used to be very important in my life but that was long back. With my experience, I learned the importance of ‘excitement’ and the ‘now’, the rest of the fizz has totally lost it’s essence in my life, no matter what it would never come to mean as much to me, in my life!
With experience, comes about the need to unlearn. What has been the toughest course in unlearning for you?
