MULTIPLE hits, check. Making history at the BET Awards, check. Being considered a talent and a success, check.

There’s no doubt Jabulani “Sjava” Makhubo made waves last year, racking up one accolade after the other.

But the artist’s personal life is now dominating headlines far more than the trap music that put him on the map.

In a shock reveal, Sjava’s mom, tired of all the talk around her son’s love life, took to the stage during one of his concerts late last year to reveal the musician – who had secretly been dating Lady Zamar – had a makoti.

Then recently, Lady Zamar dropped a bombshell: Sjava had allegedly raped her while they were a couple.

Now, a young woman claims Sjava is the father of her child.

In an exclusive interview, 26-year-old Mandisa Mtubu* says Sjava knows about the one-year-old and has up until recently, paid child support.

“His story [ for not paying child support] keeps changing, from wanting a DNA test, to the lockdown. He said he didn’t get gigs because of lockdown, so he didn’t get paid,” she tells DRUM.

Mandisa, who received her last child-maintenance payment in March, says it’s been an uphill battle to get Sjava (35) to take responsibility for their son.

“I am really tired. If the child was not his, why would he support me for almost a year?”

Contacted for comment, Sjava agreed to respond to our questions via text but despite the messages being blue-ticked, he has not replied.

According to Mandisa, Sjava hasn’t breathed a word about their baby to anyone, including his family.
