Bitter Loni loathed beater Burt Reynolds until the day he died

STILL bitter over the nightmare beatings and abuse she suffered during their 12-year relationship, Loni Anderson isn’t crying over ex-hubby Burt Reynolds’ death, says a source.

Behind her public expression of sympathy for Burt, 82, who died of a heart attack on Sept. 6, the former WKRP in Cincinnati bombshell is telling friends the Smokey and the Bandit hunk was a mean-spirited drug abuser and wife beater — and she’s glad she took him to the cleaners during their ugly divorce!

“Loni and Burt couldn’t stand each other after the divorce, and she didn’t seem devastated to learn that he died,” tattles a source. “She has never made a secret of the fact that she felt Burt treated her terribly for most of their marriage, and her acrimonious feelings toward him didn’t go away even after they split up.

“In public, she wants to be civil and not seem disrespectful. But behind closed doors, it’s apparent that she didn’t stop hating Burt throughout the rest of his lifetime — and didn’t try to hide it either.”
