Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union star in a high-octane Bad Boys spin-off

A kick-ass new crime-fighting duo make their debut this week as Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union team up for glossy cop show L.A.’s Finest.

The series, which has already been renewed for a second season, is a spin-off from the Bad Boys movie franchise in which Union starred as undercover agent Syd Burnett opposite Will Smith, who played detective Mike Lowrey.

‘We last saw her kissing Mike on the beach at the end of Bad Boys II,’ says Union. ‘Now she’s a detective with the LAPD, and she’s recently been paired with Nancy McKenna [played by Alba]. We have no idea how Syd got there – it’s a mystery we will slowly unravel throughout the season.’
