As the battle for the iron Throne gets even bloodier, Daenerys unleashes her formidable fire-breathers…
We’re closing in on the midway point of the current season of Game of Thrones and, suddenly, things aren’t looking so rosy for the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke.
Yes, there’s been the long-awaited meeting with King of the North Jon Snow (Kit Harington), but as first dates go that didn’t bode so well: Daenerys insisted he kneel to her – and found out that the King bows to no one.
Then half of her forces were caught in a trap, outwitted by Cersei (Lena Headey) and her allies, as they attempted to capture the Lannister’s stronghold of Casterly Rock. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, it was goodbye to one of Daenerys’ key supporters in the form of Oleanna Tyrell (Diana Rigg).
