Back on our screens this week is Best Home Cook, but this time with a special ingredient – a batch of celebrities doing battle in the kitchen.
In a twist on the BBC1 culinary series presented by Claudia Winkleman, this third outing sees 10 famous faces serve up some tasty grub they hope will impress the formidable judges – Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett, produce expert Chris Bavin and Dame Mary Berry.
Among those battling it out are comedian Ed Byrne, 48, and Strictly favourite and former shadow chancellor Ed Balls, 53.

Balls A lasagne recipe my mum brought back from America when she was there with my dad in 1960. It’s something I’ve cooked many times.
