But while her current TV character – harassed single mum Juliette in ITV crime drama Dark Heart – is equally spirited, she also has a far more troubled side.
‘Dark Heart is bold and dark and gritty and I’ve never played a character like Juliette before,’ says the 36-year-old actress. ‘It has been something really different for me. Juliette has a tough exterior, but she’s vulnerable.’
