NEW CRIME DRAMA Grace Sunday, 8pm, ITV
John Simm had us gripped during his first outing as Det Supt Roy Grace last year, and now the troubled detective is back with a new batch of cases in a four-part series based on Peter James’ bestselling novels.
The first feature-length episode opens with Grace and his sidekick, DS Glenn Branson (Richie Campbell), launching a murder investigation after a young woman’s body is found dismembered on the outskirts of Brighton.
Elsewhere in the city, husband and father Zack Bryce (Amit Shah) finds a USB stick on a train with a recording of the woman being stabbed to death on it, making him the sole witness to her murder.
Realising that Bryce and his family are in deadly peril, Grace and his team find themselves descending into an evil subculture as they try to stop the killers before they strike again.
