Training to be a butler at the Savoy would be a nerve-racking experience at the best of times.

So spare a thought for new recruit Michael Peluso, who learnt the tricks of the trade with a camera crew in tow for a four-part ITV documentary series about what goes on behind the gilded revolving doors of London’s oldest luxury hotel.
