Corrie star Kate Ford tells us why ‘good mum’ Tracy takes daughter Amy on the run with Rob…
Tracy Barlow has pulled some stunts in her time, but abducting her own daughter to go on the run with a killer is notably risky. The Corrie character has never exactly been Mother of the Year, but there’s method to her madness.
The panic-stricken parent is convinced that 13-year-old Amy is responsible for pushing Ken, after the teen dobbed in cousin Adam and admitted to her mum how much she hates her grandad for his shoddy treatment of Tracy.
This week, events take another dramatic turn for Trace, who’s also been secretly harbouring ex-fiancé Rob Donovan since he escaped from prison, serving time for murder. As Rob plans to flee, Tracy makes plans to join him on the run. Terrified that Amy is guilty of attempted murder, she tells her little girl to pack a bag – they’re going on a surprise holiday…
We caught up with Corrie favourite Kate Ford, who plays toxic Trace, and start by asking the big question: does Tracy really think Amy pushed Ken?
‘It’s really the last thing she wants to believe, but unfortunately everything is starting to stack up to point the finger at Amy, and Tracy is really scared,’ begins Kate, 40.
