Suspicious Charity clocks the tension between Al and Chas...

Having kissed Al last week, Chas is in turmoil. She's spinning about her mum Faith's terminal cancer, and now she's sabotaged her marriage to Paddy.

But rather than chalk it up as a moment of madness, Chas seeks out Al and, after another kiss, suggests they book a hotel!

'It's that really weird connection - she hates Al with a passion but also he's offering that shoulder to offload on to,' says Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas.

The next day, however, she backs out of the plan when Faith collapses after chemo.
