The new dad is reeling after wild claims Archie ‘looks like James Hewitt’

The first weeks as new parents are supposed to be magical, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s blissful baby time was all but ruined last week by bombshell claims that Prince Charles may not be Archie’s biological grandfather.

The cruel rumour that Princess Diana’s lover, former British army veteran James Hewitt, is Harry’s real father has tormented the prince since childhood, and it resurfaced last week after royal watchers speculated that James may try and meet his “grandson”.

The handsome cad famously had a five-year affair with Harry’s mother – and over the years fans and palace insiders have noted the striking likeness the 34-year-old royal bears to James, 61 – right down to their red hair and matching noses.

While the Gulf War veteran has long dismissed the whispers – insisting “Harry was already walking by the time my relationship with Diana began” – even he has confessed: “Admittedly the red hair is similar to mine and people say we look alike.”
