It is likely that your frame of reference with regard to Jessica Henwick depends on which lens you are looking through. Or to be specific, which fandom you’ve vested your interests in, since she’s actually featured in three of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world.

You might know her as Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones, a cunningly observant and calculating Sand Snake whose weapon of choice is an eight-foot long bullwhip. Or if you’re more into Netflix’s Marvel Universe series, perhaps passionate and disciplined martial arts expert Colleen Wing, a mainstay in Iron Fist and The Defenders, will come to mind. Then there’s badass X-wing pilot Jessika Pava from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a role written especially for Henwick by none other than director J. J. Abrams.

And now she’s adding another iconic juggernaut to her collection with her role as Bugs in the latest installment of The Matrix, called The Matrix Resurrections.
