A Wellness Vacation To Remember

The secluded island of Bodufushi in Raa Atoll is home to Maldives’ first and only wellness retreat, Joali Being. While I have been on wellness vacations, Joali Being is nothing like I experienced earlier. The 68-villa resort set amid azure waters and pearl white sands of the Maldives is changing the definition of a wellness holiday with its mindfully designed villas, transformational spaces, interactive workshops and food that will heal any weary soul.

The wellness philosophy at Joali Being centres around the four pillars –mind, skin, microbiome and energy. These four pillars were co-created with Professor Gerry Bodeker, who specialises in lifespan wellness and integrative healthcare. The immersive programmes are designed on these four pillars that help you achieve your goals.

THE GOOD LIFE Joali Being, the sister property of the uber-luxe Joali Maldives, features beach and over-water villas across categories. After a forty-minute seaplane ride from the Male Airport, my transformation journey started right from when I stepped into my expansive ocean villa. Every villa features books, musical instruments and board games to keep you off the internet and comes with a private butler, aptly called the ‘Jaadugar’.
