Why do you favour wearing the sari?
Ever since I was young, I would always look forward to wearing traditional clothing, there is just something so timeless and elegant about saris.
What sort of saris do you wear?
Mostly Kanchipuram silk saris but I also love the way a chiffon sari hugs your curves.
If you could dress one celeb in a sari who would it be?
Beyonce for sure, I think a sari would look amazing on her.
Who is your muse for sari glam: Deepika Padukone, she wears saris so elegantly and with so much confidence.
Your favourite sari quote: A sari never tells you to fit in, it makes you stand out.

Why do you favour wearing the sari?
The most feminine I could feel is in a sari. Actually people think it takes ages to pleat and wear a sari and with so much fabric going around it might not be comfortable, but it’s quite the opposite. With a bit of practice two minutes is enough to drape a saree and it is actually very comfortable compared to jeans.
What sort of saris do you wear?
Linen sarees are my favourite, which are also the easiest to drape and it hugs my figure.
If you could dress one celeb in a sari who would it be?

Lovi Ceylon Debuts In Paris
Continuing their journey to introduce the sarong to the world, Lovi Ceylon launched their new collection to much acclaim at TexWorld Paris during the Paris Fashion Week. While in Paris the Lovi Ceylon show was witnessed by Jean-Paul Donald-Potard a childhood friend of Jean Paul Gaultier who joined forces with the iconic designer to set up a global fashion empire. Jean-Paul Donald-Potard was so taken with the silhouette of the sarong and Lovi Ceylon Founder, Asanka De Mel’s vision, that a visit to Sri Lanka to explore a possible collaboration between the two is on the cards. Asanka De Mel is dogged in his determination to make the sarong an outfit of choice for not only Sri Lankans but for gentlemen around the world. By showcasing his collection in Paris, Lovi Ceylon is one step closer in their journey to global domination.
