This writer admits that summer parties charged with beer, carefree spirits, and pulsating EDM can be quite liberating. In fact, EDM exists in a similar fashion as summertime – it sweeps in like an intense heatwave and seems to wane when the leaves turn red. It also has perturbed music traditionalist in recent years, and their worries made us wonder if we are losing the true essence of music in the name of music technological advancements.
EDM is at the forefront of this advancement, and for the uninitiated, anyone can make music in the comforts of his bedroom with just an audio software. This helps in keeping one’s stage dream alive – work hard, know the inside-out of the program, and one’s shining breakout moment may come.
