Encased within a stainless steel or gold case, IWC’s newly unveiled Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 42 is outfitted with the IWC-manufactured 82650 calibre from the iconic 82000-calibre family. The mechanism is powered by the Pellaton winding system equipped with ceramic components for long-lasting durability and builds up a power reserve of 60 hours. The counters for the date, month and day of the week are distributed over three sub-dials at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock. The perpetual phase display is worked into the month display and deviates from the actual orbit of the moon by only one day after 577.5 years. Eloquent, carefully thoughtout design with a transparent sapphire-glass back, the watch meets the wearer’s needs, whether it is functionality or style.
