After a few years holding important positions in the European Union, he returned to Spain to be part of the Pedro Sánchez government in the worst of times that we have had to live, but he assures that we are all giving the best of ourselves to try to get out as soon as possible, put ourselves on the road to economic recovery and leave the pandemic behind.

Es la única mujer ministra de Economía del Eurogrupo y quien la ha tratado, quien la conoce, dice de ella que es metódica y autoexigente, y que ha sabido moverse con inteligencia y siempre afable en despachos, donde a menudo era la única mujer rodeada de hombres. Nadia Calviño (A Coruña, 51 años), vicepresidenta tercera del Gobierno y ministra de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital de España, es también muy discreta con su vida personal, pero no elude ninguna pregunta, aunque prefiere no hablar de su marido ni de sus cuatro hijos. Su objetivo es claro: construir un futuro para España.

Dejaste Bruselas para formar parte del gobierno de Pedro Sánchez. ¿Recuerdas cómo fue esa llamada que te proponía entrar en el Consejo de Ministros?

Recuerdo dos sentimientos que tuve. Responsabilidad por contribuir al futuro de mi país e ilusión porque se abría una etapa de oportunidad para construir un futuro mejor.
